Supplies

Pattern is TAATTU by Juliette Pecaut, and is included in the class price.

Size is calculated to fit.
Please bring a traced outline of your foot (or the foot you want to make socks for) and foot circumference measurement around the widest part of your foot.

Yarn: Fingering, DK, or Worsted weight yarn can be used. DK weight is recommended for first time sock knitters.
Yarn that contains some nylon will help make the socks more durable.
For Fingering weight socks, 100g of yarn is generally enough, depending on size and leg length of socks.
For DK and Worsted weight socks, between 100g to 200g of yarn may be needed, depending on size and leg length of socks.
Optional to use a contrast color for heels, toes, and cuffs.
Please have yarn wound into two equal balls/cakes (one for each sock).

Needles: 40 inch circular needles, size based on yarn weight chosen. Generally US size 1 (2.25mm) for Fingering weight yarn, US size 3 (3.25mm) for DK weight yarn, and US size 6 (4mm) for Worsted weight yarn.

Gauge
Dependent on yarn weight and needle size chosen.
Example: 37 sts by 48 rows for Fingering weight yarn, 27 sts by 36 rows for DK weight yarn, and 20 sts by 31 rows for Worsted weight yarn.
Please bring in a 4 inch by 4 inch swatch. The fabric should be fairly dense, so that the socks are sturdy. We will calculate your stitch counts based on your swatch gauge.

Stitch Markers: 8+ removable stitch markers, lightbulb markers work best, multiples in different colors are helpful.

All necessary supplies are available for purchase in-store. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to class time.
Please ensure you have all required supplies before class begins.
