Adventurous Beginner. Student must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches.
Supplies
Yarn: 100g skein of DK or Fingering weight yarn
Needles: Appropriate needle size for yarn weight chosen. Suggested US 1 for fingering weight, US 3 for DK weight. Magic loop and 9in circular method will be taught. Length of cord depends on chosen technique. Magic Loop requires cord length of 32 to 40 inches.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape, scrap yarn of same weight.
All necessary supplies are available for purchase in-store.
Please ensure you have all required supplies before class begins.
Class Description
In this class learn the foundations of cuff down sock knitting. We will explore the construction, fit and benefits of three different heel techniques; Heel Flap & Gusset, Short Row, and Afterthought. You can chose to work on actual socks, making a shortie sock for each heel or just work on heel technique samples. Both options will have adequate instruction and guidance by instructor, but each option will require different length of completion time to be done by you. This class is right for you if you can knit and purl as all other techniques will be taught during class.
Open to all ages, but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian with basic knowledge of the class material.
Cancellation Policy
If minimum number of students is not met 48 hours before scheduled class time, class will be cancelled and refunded. Students will be notified by email.
Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice will receive full refunds.
Cancellations with 24-48 hours notice will receive 50% refunds.
Cancellations within 24 hours or no shows will not be refunded.
