Sheridan of @sheridanquilts submitted this stunner of a quilt that she made using all scraps leftover from other projects, and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to create a colorway inspired by it. She donated the original quilt to be part of an anti-racist fundraiser, specifically raising money for the Equal Justice Initiative with this piece.

With her submission she wrote, “At my core, I am a creator. I put a little piece of myself into every item I make. I could think of no better way to show my support and empathy to the black and brown communities than donating my time, my craft, my effort, and a piece of myself.” … “I believe love is love regardless of race, gender, creed, nationality, etc. And I hope to keep passing that message far and wide.”



We decided to use this opportunity to raise money for a local LGBTQ+ nonprofit, and $5 of each skein sold (always, everywhere) will be donated to Camp Sunflower, which is a summer camp local to Wichita whose mission is to provide inclusive and supportive camps and activities for LGBTQ+ and gender diverse youth.
